Week 2 Bonus 2: Crossing the Tasman

The place we all know,
Where the poppies all grow,
Was once filled with sorrow
I am at home
now all grown.
I see the smiles of my family,
It makes me feel love.
My eyes have tears
Since all my fears are gone
And I was able to stay strong.

Week 2 Bonus 1: In Flanders Field

This poem make makes me feel happy that people were willing to sacrifice their life for their country. It also makes me feel bad that some didn't get to see the battle through to the end as well as their family's smiles. I liked that poem.

Week 1 Bonus 4: Musicial Festivals - Matatini

My ranking and reasons on the three songs, Tamatea Arikinui, Te Iti Kahurangi and Te Puku o Te Ika.

Tamatea Arikinui at #3 Becuase the men dominate the women voices. Other than that everything was fine.

Te Puku o Te Ika at #2 The harmonies were even and the rhythm was good.

Te Iti Kahurangi at #1 because of their three-part harmonies on point. They also had powerful lead vocalist. You could feel all their emotion being poured into their singing.

Week 1 Bonus 3: Fun Family Facts

Here are two fun facts about three people close to me!

Two fun facts about Leanah is that she's a very bright person. She's also an anime fan so watch out!

During summer Jessica loves to jam out to her music and draw outside.

Last but not least is my mum. She loves to do strengthening and conditioning at Strength Tech. She loves to read as well.

Week 1 Bonus 2: Special Meal

My favourite meal would have to be nachos and mince with sour cream and cheese! I love it because you can crush the nachos and mix it with the mince, cheese and sour cream which adds a lovely flavour.

Week 1 Bonus 1: Waka Ama

I would like to participate in a Waka Ama race to develop coordination and teamwork skills along with confidence. My mother also said that it would be good for me to develop upper body strength because my mother likes working on her upper body strength. I also love the water.

Day 3 Week 1: Imagine If...

This activity involves imagination. What you have to imagine is being a child from the 8000s with 9 siblings and how you would have felt.

If I was a born into a family of nine I would feel awkward and annoyed. The awkwardness would be because of so many people in one household and all the conversations. The thing that would annoy me the most is that there would so many people. Peace and quiet might not happen for a while.

Activity 2: A Letter

Hello friend,

It felt like forever out on that sea! The sea kept pushing our waka side to side not to mention out of nowhere a storm had arrived. We all got drenched! After the storm had passed there was a ray of sun shining down on our waka! It felt wonderful! In the distance I spotted an island and what I thought were bright red feathers but as we got closer I realised that they were pohutakawai trees! We started to speed up our paddling and it wasn't long until we had arrived! The island looked more beautiful up close. At the beginning of the voyage I was nervous but the reward at the end made up for it.

Day 1 Week 1: Maui

I can't believe that it's already December! It's the time of year for Christmas and the Summer Learning Journey. For the first activity you have to read a story about Maui from the link provided on the website. After that you have to write three facts you've learnt about Maui.

Maui, a famous man from Maori mythology is a very interesting character. He's been on a ton of adventures, some with his brothers and others by himself. Three new things I've learned about Maui is that his character has the traits of a leader. He's a very courageous man and he's pretty sneaky. Other stories I've heard of with Maui are Maui and the Sun, How Maui got fire, How Maui brought death to people and Maui and his magic jaw bone.

Manaiakalani Film Festival 2017

Yesterday around 12 in the afternoon rooms 1 - 12 went to the Manaiakalani Film Festival held at Sylvia Park Hoyts. Our school was with St. Pius. It was exciting for the little kids from years 1 to 3 because it was going to be their first time allowed to go to the theaters with the seniors. When all the classes got on a bus, the chatter and laughter started. My class were sharing a bus with rooms 5 and 6 and they were noisy. They kept giggling, shouting to their friends, all of those things little kids do. After what felt like a ride which felt like it took forever, we parked next to the train station. On goers would occasionally glance at us through the window and after we got off the bus as well. I scanned the area looking for the other classes to arrive.

Once all the classes were inside the mall, near the staircase and escalators to the cinema, we waited for the schools currently still there to leave so that we could enter. After enough people had walked by glaring at us and talking with their friends. We got to take the escalator since people were still going down the stairs. I could hear the kids up front talking to their friends, squealing with excitement. Inside was a Hulk and Thor statue behind some ropes that had a note attached to it to tell people to not touch or go inside the ropes. There were a ton of movie advertisements, probably because it was a movie theater. We had to line up and sit down on the soft red carpet, waiting to go to our cinema. The chatter started to build up again. The teachers then told the students to be on their best behavior and to represent the school with pride. It wasn't long before we all had to stand up again and then walk into the cinema we're supposed to be at. Inside was bright and the screen was huge. The room looked tiny since the last time we were there. The chairs looked comfy from a far which they were. You could see the VIP chairs glistening in the light. Besides from the presenters all the way at the front, we were the first school there. We were given a number up to 8 and then were told to sit at a specific seat. After a few minutes of children getting organized into a seat, St Pius showed up. All you could hear were children chatting away. One of the adults up front announced that there were five minutes left before the films started. When the five minutes were up, the lights started to dim and the younger kids started to talk like they were scared and the teachers had to shush them.

After my class's film, All About Love which was the last, someone started talking and then the lights started to slowly turn back on. When the teachers gave the students instructions, everyone started to talk. People slowly got up, had a good stretch, and then followed their teacher's instructions. Room 5, 6 and 10 got to exit and get to our bus first. It was cold and breezy outside and the leaves were rustling. We all hopped on the bus and we were taken back to school. We all excitedly ran back to class but since our teacher wasn't with us at that time, we went with Room 9. We did some PE out on the court until it was time to go home. It was an exhausting day.

My favourite film was Tamaki Primary's. Their introduction was creative and their singing was amazing!

Winning Ways Follow Up

For reading Harry Potter did a follow up on an article about a girl working on her science fair project. We had to write at least five facts from the article.

Planning

Today my reading group read an article called "Where Shall We Put The Turbine?" It's all about some students from St Peter's College studying about wind turbines. The students were talking about how they wanted to add a turbine in the school. They had to learn how to understand the wind symbols. After exploring and thinking of the cons and pros of building the wind turbine somewhere, they decided that they would place it on top of the gym. The only problem was that the school didn't have enough money to build one.

Goals For Term 4

These are my new goals for the last term of the year. I set these goals for myself because I need to improve on these a lot. I hope that I can achieve them all this time!

Riiana's Learning Goals Reflection

These are my goals from term one. I've achieved all except for one, writing. I'm still proud of myself. The reason I didn't achieve it is because I hardly use a plan.

A Book Report On...

In Room 10 we've been working on writing a report. Our first one was about our text we read, a book report. For example, my group read a book called Te Tiriti O Waitangi so we did a report based on that.

Tuesday 5 September 2017

Te Tiriti O Waitangi

On Monday Harry Potter, also known as the reading group I'm in, read a book called Te Tiriti O Waitangi. This article is just about all the progress going towards the Treaty being signed and after it was signed. While reading with my group, a certain paragraphed had caught my attention.
Over the years some parts of the Treaty have caused a lot of debate. This debate is about the te reo Maori words used in the Treaty. Did those words really mean the same thing as the words used in the English version of the Treaty?
I'd recommend reading this article for a lot more information on the Treaty and Waitangi.  It had a lot information that I was not expecting to come across. It was really helpful.

Bugzy

I remember the day I got my most precious darling, Bugzy. It had shocked me a lot that day. I wasn't expecting to get a kitten at all, especially because Mum had told me we weren't allowed one.

At some point during February of this year Frank and I had to come along with Mum to a birthday party. It was being held at the Panmure Pools and it didn't start until somewhere in the afternoon. Frank and I reluctantly started packing our swimming gear once it was close to the time we had to leave the house. We were taking years to gather our things. It wasn't even that difficult. The whole time I was complaining about being forced to go but, it was in my mind. Since Mum realised we were taking so long, she decided to heat up the car and that got us moving quicker. Of course, I beat him at getting organised. We all hopped in the car and drove off, heading for the Panmure Pools.

Once we arrived, we got our wristbands to allow entry and to go on the slide. We strolled through the gates, leading to the outside pools. Mum was trying to find where her friend was at while Frank and I were just following her. The outside area isn't that big so it didn't take very long to find them. We could see her friend and her family were sitting near this little wooden picnic table in the front of the entrance to the slide. They had a barbecue going and some drinks, along with the cake and some snacks. Frank and I decided to have a race to see who got changed the fastest. We both speed walked all the way back to the gate we had come through, and then made a turn to the right and it was on. The girls changing room was closer so of course I was ahead. It was very empty and you could hear your footsteps slap against the cold, solid floor. I could feel a draft from time to time as well. I made a run for one of the stalls to get changed, not expecting to see a woman standing there doing whatever. That startled me a lot. I managed to get in one, lock it and place the bag on the door handle without causing too much noise. After struggling to take my jumper off, I chucked my shoes in the bag where the towel and my togs, which are now on me, were. I unlocked the door and darted out of a different entrance, looking around to try and find Frank. I couldn't see him so I continued on. I made it to the table with all the people, with Frank being in second place. To start the day off properly, Frank and I both headed for the huge giant blue slide which you wouldn't be able to miss.

A couple hours has passed by then and I was in the outside pool hanging out with Shakaia. That's when I noticed my mum holding a little furry buddy. It was as black as the night but eyes shiny gold, not able to miss. She walked towards me with the kitty and said with a straight face, "This is your cat. You better take care of it." Or something like that. Shakaia then announced that she had to go now so she left the pool and trotted off. I swam to the nearest wall, hopped onto it and then headed towards Mum. I was more than excited to be able to hug the cat and keep one for myself! I dried myself with my towel I had brought and then asked if I could hold the cat. He was in a box and was being fed some of the snacks there were. I don't remember the exact things he ate but I do remember that he was eating.

More hours have passed and I was in the car with the cat sitting in a small, cardboard box, on my lap. We went a few places before we actually went home. We went to Countdown and people were amazed at how a tiny kitty was sitting at the front of the car, blocking the view. Next we went to Carl's Jr. While Mum was inside a family walked by the car and Bugzy was still in the same position, in the same spot as he was when we went to Countdown. They gave a stare and a smile at the kitty. We finally got back home and I decided to hang out with my kitty.  I got the honor of naming him so I named him Bugzy. Nowadays he's very energetic and playful.

Moving Out?

A certain memory I love to think about from time to time is when I got to sleep in a separate room from my brother. It started off with a casual conversation with my mother a few years back. She was asking me if I thought I was tired of sharing a room with someone. I told her I was fed up so that's when she decided to give me the option. I was extremely excited. Frank sure wasn't ready to let me leave though. He kept trying to reason with Mum but she kept telling him that it was my decision.
After that day had passed, Mum started pulling things out of my now old but back then new room. Of course, I had to clean up the mess from under my bed and then pack up the things which I wanted to bring along. "That took forever!" My kid self thought. Mum had spent a lot of time on taking out one of the items. Once she had finished taking everything out, she then had to move all of my belongings and furniture in.
After that I hung out in my room for a little bit and then went back to the lounge.

I'm Back To School!

The school holidays have finished and now I'm back at school! In the holidays I spent most of my time in my room just watching YouTube while doodling. My favourite days were the 14th and 15th, when I went over to Jessica's house. We ate her cheesecake which was half cookies and cream and the other half was chocolate. This term, for writing I would like to try and make my ideas stronger and a lot more interesting than they are now.

Where I'd Go

After watching the video, Auckland - City Video Guide, the five places I would go to are,
  • Elliot Stables
  • Rainbows End
  • Waitakere Ranges
  • Auckland War Memorial
  • Auckland Domain
I would start off with the Elliot Stables because it is said to be a wonderful place to get some breakfast. I would save Rainbows End for last because it is filled with a lot of thrilling rides. Having extremely exciting things for last make the day seem a lot more fun.

Facts That Have Caught My Eye!

I am currently on school break and I have decided to participate in the Winter Learning Journey! For the first activity we have to visit this website and read some facts about New Zealanders. We then have to share three facts that we read about and put them in our own words.

1) As of right now, there are 4. 4 million people living in New Zealand and 69% are of European descent.

2) Three quarters of the population live in the North island.

3) Us New Zealanders love the outdoors and the water!

One Of My Favourite Series

This term Leanah and I have been reading a fictional story called Inna Furey. This is a five series book and the first one, the book we read, is about a girl named Leanne who met a girl named Inna Furey. Inna had two sides to her, a bird and a human. Leanne had to complete a lot of tasks to free the bird Inna from the human one. She didn't do this alone though. She was accompanied by a woman who goes by the name Miss Peck. The girl, Inna, has now been separated from the bird Inna and is now spending a lot time with Leanne, her best friend.

Reading From The Past

The article Leanah and I read today was called "Righting The Wrongs". It was talking about how the Chinese people couldn't enter New Zealand without paying a poll tax. At first it was $10 and then the Prime Minister moved it to $100. In 2002 on February, Helen Clark gave the Chinese an apology for what had happened to their kind years ago. I found this story pretty interesting and full of information from the past.

This Is Tonga!

This term our inquiry topic is on Tonga. There was only one Tongan and the rest of us were Maori. My group had a lot of fun creating this and learning new things though. I loved to research about the monarchy.

Terevaka And His Opportunities

On Monday last week, Leanah and I read a book called 'Terevaka'. The main message in this story was that if you explore then you'll be able to find opportunities you wouldn't find if you back home. I really enjoyed this story. The characters, how they broke the news to him and the artwork! I would like to read another story like that.

Teamwork Makes It Work

For writing we had to choose two other people beside our self to work with to create a poem about ANZAC Day. I was working with Dominic and Brazie. We had a few disagreements and arguments but I still had fun creating this and I bet the other two did too!

Wednesday 12 April 2017

ANZAC Knowledge

For inquiry we had to turn seven questions that relate to ANZAC into statements. This was easy to complete especially with the resources we were given. I learned new information I hadn't already known.
What do you do for ANZAC Day? Do you do what I do, act like it is a normal day or do you bake cookies, go to parades or throw parties?

Tuesday 11 April 2017

Reading Time! Jack's Auntie And Her Long Brown Hair

This morning Leanah and I were reading a short poem called Jack's Auntie And Her Long Brown Hair.
The message of the story is that the auntie had cancer and the medicine they gave her made her hair fall out. That gave her the opportunity to try different hats and different wigs while having fun. In the end she got her long, brown hair back.

Friday 7 April 2017

ANZAC Day Soon

As you all know ANZAC Day is coming up soon and ANZAC is our new inquiry and writing topic for this week. We had to write a cinquain poem about ANZAC. A cinquain poem has five lines, the first one is the title, the second has two words describing the title, the third line has three doing words, the fourth describes your expression and the fifth has one word which would be a synonym for the title. This activity was really fun and easy to complete.

Clocks Again!

I was suppose to finish and post this last week but I guess I never got around to doing it.

This was the last activity to do with time and also the last time we'd learn about time. This week we are now learning about proportions and ratios. What I've learned about proportions so far is that they're like fractions. Ratios are about the amount so say that there are five boys in the class and four girls in the class. It would like this, 5:4.

Bitten By Common Annoying Pests

Last week on Monday the 13th we had to write an explanation about what happens before and after we're bitten by a pests. You got to choose which pest to write about, you could even have more than one. I chose to write about fleas and mosquitoes. Friday was supposed to be the last day but our teacher is so nice, she gave us an extra day! I don't like writing explanations but hey, at least I got this finished!

You’ll probably be minding your own business, wandering around and then you’ll hear buzzing right next to your ear and think nothing of it. A few minutes later you’ll see a red bump and feel itchy or you’ll just be scratching at your head. There are so many insects waiting for you and you don’t know when they’re going to strike! I’ve been struck by fleas many times because of my cute, adorable kitten. After you’ve been bitten, you’ll be scratching at a red lump in the hope of it going away but nope! More will appear after the first one, well, that’s what happens to me! If you try to resist then it will get noticeable and will be the only thing you’ll think about. Scratching might not be the best idea in the world though. Some itchy bites start bleeding if you scratch them too many times and some might become infected and swell up. Mosquitoes like to live in tall grass and bushes near our homes waiting for us. They’d also live near places with water to help them live. Fleas like to live in our homes, on animals and even us! If you have a pet or pets, that will make it easier for the fleas to get to you. Mosquitoes are just annoying. You can slap and spray them to get rid of them. For a flea, you can pop its head, flea bomb the house or clean your pets. Thirdly, lice start sucking a small amount of blood from you, less than mosquitoes. If you want to know if you have lice or you feel like you have them then, clean your hair with nit shampoo and comb your hair. To know if you have lice is the itchiness, them biting us causes an allergic reaction. Now, you might not feel itchy right away but later on you’ll start scratching your head, ears and even neck! If a mosquito bites you, you have a chance to get the zika virus. Sometimes you’ll start showing symptoms and sometimes you won’t. You can treat this but not get rid of it.
You have been warned. Use these tips to see if you have any pests lying around! Remember, they’ll be hiding waiting to get to you, your house or pet. It’s not always that easy to make pests “disappear,” so make sure you know what you’re doing and how you’re doing it.

Maths - Time

For maths we are currently working on time. Maths isn't my greatest strength and time definitely isn't either but I tried and it was fun decorating my answers.

I'm planning to do some work at home when I get the chance just to improve.

Monday 13 March 2017

A Weird Obsession

For inquiry we had to write a description about our desired pest and I chose a rabbit! I have an obsession with rabbits that I didn’t even know I had! We had to create a poster with a picture of a pest and I said rabbit, we also had to write a description about a pest and I chose a rabbit! This is a short presentation.

Tweet Tweet!

The past Wednesdays we've been doing art with our Wednesday teacher, Mrs Hoeberigs. Lately, we've been drawing New Zealand's native birds. I drew an owl but, I copied it from a book. I think it turned out pretty good, so good that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference! Out of all seriousness though, I really am proud of my drawing! The next step, painting!

Potential Friends!

Eight days ago I was sent something. A document which had to do with inquiry. Can anybody take a guess?

Nau Mai, Haere Mai, Welcome to Te Taiao o Tāmaki Quad Blogging
Thank you for registering your blog. This is an awesome opportunity for us to learn, create and share with Manaiakalani bloggers this term. All our schools have chosen a unique Te Taiao o Tāmaki  learning focus and we are looking forward to our cluster learning celebration at Te Oro, on Wednesday 12th April.

YES! I am apart of a blogging group! If you haven't already noticed, I love to join any activity that involves blogging! I have been put in a blogging group with some interesting people! (And I mean that in a good way!)
When I checked out all their blogs, I could tell how different they all were just by their posts! I then was happy about the group that I was put in!
This is my Te Taiao o Tāmaki Blogging team
School
Name
Blog Address
Pt England
Ana
Glen Innes
Mahaleah
St PiusX
Mikaela

The first thing I did was read the instructions.
  1. Move this Google Doc to a folder in your Google Drive
  2. Check you have created a blog post to share some information about your Te Taiao o Tāmaki learning focus. Don’t forget to include the label on your blog post...Te Taiao o Tāmaki
  1. Visit each of your buddies’ blogs and bookmark them.
  2. Choose a recent blog post and leave a blog comment to introduce yourself. Look for the Te Taiao o Tāmaki label on your buddie’s blog.
I ALMOST forgot! The reason there even is a blogging group (there's more than one just so you know) is because we're going to do something for our inquiry topic, PESTS! All the people that have been chosen will blog to their buddies and talk about what has been happening and what they've been learning.
On Wednesday the 12th of April, that is when all the participants go to Te Oro. I can not WAIT to go and meet them all in person!

Duffy Show! (Which Happened Two Weeks Ago!)

Two week on Tuesday the 14, we had a Duffy Show. We did the same thing we did every time, line up in our class lines and wait quietly for the show to begin. This show in particular was about a kid called Duffy who helped a superhero, Super Global Girl, who was trying to stop global warming but Global Girl had dyslexia. There was a bit of chemistry and all of us were impressed, especially the little ones!

One of my favourite parts was when Global Girl and Duffy were flying and Duffy dabbed! The second one was when the fire said she was melting! Fire doesn't melt! Last but not least, the branch that kept moving away from Duffy! I actually have one more favourite part and that was when the ocean, Moana, made a pun! Nowadays I love making puns and annoying people with it so the ocean pun made me laugh way too hard than it should have! That had to one one of my favourite Duffy shows.
Goodbye for meow! (Did you see what I did there?!)

My Term One Goals

On week two of school, we had to work on our term one goals like every other year. We all had to write it in our general book or on a piece of paper if we didn't have our stationary. It took me a few tries for my writing and reading goals, but maths and general took one take! I overthink my goals a lot.

These are my goals that I want to complete before the end of the term.

Me Again!

Talofa Lava,

My name is Riiana and I am a year six student in room 10. My teacher this year is Miss Misela who I had last year but only for half a year. I am half Maori and half Samoan. I have two brothers but I am the only girl. I'm still happy at home though! I am now into drawing and trying to improve my skills so, I try to draw for an hour.

My favourite subject at school is writing because I love to write narratives. I have all these ideas in my head that want to escape and narratives are just the thing! I love to spend time to myself in my room and also love to watch anime by myself. I love sweets but have to balance it out if with healthy food if I want to stay healthy. My friends like to say that I'm the weirdest person they've met which, I take as a compliment.

For school I'm trying to improve on adding more detail to my writing and socializing with other people and for out of school, I'm trying to improve on my drawing techniques and shading.
I am hoping that this year goes well and no one loses their mind by the end of the year!

Story Time Featuring Animals From The Zoo!

I had just entered the zoo when, all of a sudden, I saw a panda sitting there eating bamboo, completely ignoring all the people around it. After that I noticed the red panda exhibit. I observed the trees trying to find a red panda. I was never good at finding them because they're so small, so I had to rely on my best friend to point it out. It took a while to find a red panda but I finally spoted one! It was hiding in one of the trees to the top right corner, what a sneaky panda! After that I thought to myself "Hey! There should be polar bears here, I need to find them!" so I went searching and while searching for the baboon enclosure I stumbled upon the flamingos. Gorgeous creatures they are! I remember an interesting fact I read a few months ago. It said that flamingos feathers are actually grey, they're the colour they are because of the pigments in their food. I just stared at them, admiring their beauty.

After getting my thoughts together, I told myself to stop getting sidetracked or else the zoo will close and I wouldn't have gotten the chance to see the polar bears and capybaras. I started walking down a path listening to the noises the animals were making, surprisingly, I found that peaceful. After a while of listening to the animals and people I decided to try and finally find the polar bear and capybara exhibit since I have never seen either of them up close. I thought that would be a good idea so I looked up trying to find a sign that said "Polar bears this way" or "Capybaras that way" and I ran into the polar bear sign first. I followed the sign to where it was pointing and I saw one. I saw a polar up against the glass interacting with two kids who were the only ones there. I was staring at the polar bear's nose. I just wanted to go and touch it. I walked up to the glass and just stood there. The polar bear turned to look at me and star blanky. I put my hand on the glass and it did the same. We were technically touching hands. The two kids left, one of the zoo employees announced over the speakers that it was close to closing time and then we were left alone. We stared into each others eyes for a few minutes maybe, five to eight? It got too quiet so I decided to say "Hi." The polar bear still stared at me. I felt like it was trying to tell me something and I just wasn't catching on. Right before that polar bear was going to do something, the same person that announced the last message over the speaker told the remaining visiters to leave, and so I did.

I didn't get the chance to see the capybaras but I did get the chance to make a potential friend!

The Power Of Imagination!

Imagine, you had the power to create a new holiday but it had to be a holiday that had a purpose, a strong reason as to why it should exist. Not just so you can stay home and not do any work or do nothing, but to enjoy a day with or without people. I would create a holiday called Visiting Sights. A creative name, I know.

The name mentions it all but if you haven't caught on, this holiday is about visiting sights. It doesn't matter if it's just a house or a lake, The reason I would create a holiday like that is because I want the people of Japan to be proud of what has become of their home. I want them to be thankful for all the things that have been created so, they have to visit places and think about the times they spent there or if they haven't visited a certain place they can just sightsee. So much fun! That is all the holiday would be about. What would your holiday be about and what would your reason be?

Monday 9 January 2017

Holidays!

Everyone likes holidays right? And different countries celebrate different holidays for different reasons right? Well, Japan celebrate a lot of holidays but the one I'll be sharing some infomation about is National Foundation Day then share what I would do. National Foundation Day is a holiday dedicated to Japan's original founder and reign of the first emperpor, Jimmu. People will gather around and celebrate, they don't normally have huge parties or celebrations but most people do get off of work so that's fun unless you like working then yeah.

What I would do to celebrate is to visit a few places just to show my appreciation for all the things that have become of Japan after it was found. I've heard about Yakushima and how it is suppose to be a magical place with a goregous beach and is known for its wildlife and cedar forests. The second place I would like to visit is Aokigahara also known as suicide forest. It has rocky, ice caverns that is one of the few popular tourist destitnations. Aokigahara is associated with ghosts and is a common suicide spot, that is why there is a sign at the main trail that tells suicidal vistors to think about their families and to contact a suicide prevention association. All of those famalies who had a child/children that commited suicide must have been a dark day for them. The last place I would want to visit is a Tokyo Meiji shrine, a doll funeral. That is called Ningyo Kuyo, doll appreciation festival. Ningyo Kuyo is a ceramony for dolls of all sorts. They believe that dolls that have been treated poorly come to life and attack their owners, just for revenge. Those are called yokai which are supernatural monsters, spirits and demons. Those are the places I would visit to show my appreciation.

They Left At The Age Of 12

Over 100 years ago when children went to school and reached the age of 12 or 13, they would start working. They would normally work on a local farm, milking cows. If I was alive 100 years and started working, I would be in the middle of happiness and sadness. I would love to go through the experience of being a farmer but also no matter what, I would still be lazy so I would be sad to do work, like when I have to do chores. These are my two main reaons why I wouldn't have enjoyed the olden days as much as now.

Swinging- Wassily Kandinsky

This abstract art was created by a guy called Wassily Kandinsky who called it swinging. Wassily Kandinsky was a Russian artist and he's painted one of the first recognised abstract art. I like all the bright colours and how I can form a few shapes into objects. If I could buy it, I would buy it for myself. I could get more drawing ideas and help me with shading. I could also try and copy it and try my own abstract art by using only those shapes. What's your opinion of this abstract art and if you could buy it, who would you buy it for?

Would I Like To Be Prime Minister

Now, if I was the prime minister of New Zealand, I would reconsider. Being a prime minister is a HUGE responsibilty. I'd have to attend meetings, , make desicions. I would not be fit for that role especially the desicions part. I'm not good at making desicions even if they're simple. I would stress out and feel the pressure getting to me maybe get a few headaches. These are my reasons to why I wouln't want to be prime minister.

Hillary Who

The Hillary who I will be "facting" (Yes, I did make that up) is none other than Hillary Clinton, the woman running for president against Donald Trump and others.
Hillary Clinton is an American politician. She moved to Arkansas and married Bill Clinton, then had a daughter called Chelsea Clinton who has children of her own. Hillary was born on October 26 1947. Last fact of Hillary is that her whole name is Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton. If you want to learn more about Hillay Clinton, like I've said so many times in other posts, go on google. Talk to you next post!
